Joyful People study
Original one-off painting.
The Joyful people are based on some sketchbook drawings from my sketchbooks back in the University days. They were charming, awkward little people, perhaps revealing my many joyous, bored, restless and awkward moments from my early twenties. I recreated the poses on modelling clay, painted them gold and made this study of them. Their attachment to the string and their ascendant nature depicts our journey in life, with all of its phases, but aspiring and rising nevertheless.
Oil on stretched canvas.
Size: 40 cm x 40 cm x depth 1.5 cm
Free postage. Recycled packaging is used whenever possible.
